We Have Produced the First Integrated Valve for Calibration Gas Applications | Rotarex

In sensitive lab environments, gas control safety is critical. At Rotarex, we’re always looking for ways to improve gas safety by developing new products that are technically advanced, ergonomically designed and easier to use. So the Rotarex engineering team went to work applying our deep expertise in cylinder valve and pressure regulator integration to develop an entirely new product that would improve safety and productivity for labs that use gas to calibrate analyzers.

The result is Flowcal. We’ve combined six gas control functions into a single mono-body:

• ¼ turn shut off valve
• pressure regulator
• flow selector
• pressure gauge
• filling port
• safety relief valve

How does integrating these components improve safety?

With no need for separate components and connectors, there are fewer potential gas leak points. And we’ve gone even farther with an ergonomic design that features an innovative plastic guard that makes Flowcal safer and easier to use and transport.

We’ve designed Flowcal to be compatible with the wide range of specialty gases used in labs. It is the first stainless steel valve that is fully compatible with all non-corrosive pure calibration gases, including gas mixtures that contain corrosive elements.

• It weighs just 1.05kg/2lb making it ideal for transportable applications
• Ease of operation is assured since you simply open the cylinder valve and choose from preset ranges
