Does Device Design Make a Difference to Oxygen Therapy Caregivers?
Our Rotarex Meditec team has talked with many oxygen therapy caregivers and found that traditional medical regulators can be awkward and intimidating to use. Bulky and unwieldy, these regulators can make it difficult to set oxygen flow adjustments precisely, which poses a potential safety risk to the patient.
Does Device Design Make a Difference to Oxygen Therapy Caregivers?

So, we set to work developing a device that would remove the guesswork from oxygen flow adjustment. Our goal was to achieve a caregiver-friendly ergonomic design for a medical oxygen regulator that would be simple and intuitive to manipulate.

With the next-generation of ALPINOX medical regulators, we’ve accomplished our goal. Not only does it look more user-friendly, with soft, curved geometry, but it also features an easy-to-use flow selector knob that makes it simple for even untrained caregivers to correctly set the oxygen flow. This is particularly important in home oxygen therapy situations.

But we didn’t stop there. To make ALPINOX one of the easiest to use medical gas regulators on the market, we used our engineering and materials expertise to make it 30% lighter and extremely durable. And, since it will see heavy use in ambulances and transport cases, we’ve made ALPINOX very resistant to impact and environmental damage by adding a new outer plastic protective shell. It is as solid as a rock, able to withstand daily wear and tear and deliver many years of service.

Looking inside, beyond design, all ALPINOX medical oxygen regulators are built with outstanding quality and technical excellence to ensure precise gas flow. You can count on maintenance free, reliable performance for 10+ years. As well, reducing body weight lowered the cost of manufacturing, which makes ALPINOX regulators very competitively priced in the marketplace.

ALPINOX medical pressure regulators are CE-marked and approved as medical devices. They are used for emergency oxygen therapy, hospital oxygen therapy and in home oxygen therapy. If you’d like to know more, please contact me.
