Valve with integrated pressure regulator – Rotarex Precision and Safety

Valves with integrated pressure regulators are advanced flow control solutions in a single compact device, ensuring safe, efficient, and precise gas delivery. Each VIPR typically incorporates an inlet valve, a filling port, a gauge, an integrated pressure regulator, and a shut-off valve, reducing the need for separate components and simplifying installation. A VIPR is a valve with an integrated standard regulator, which reduces the cylinder gas pressure and delivers the desired outlet pressure for oxygen, acetylene, and shielding gas, supporting both industrial and specialty applications.

Rotarex provides a comprehensive range of valves with integrated pressure regulators for medical, industrial, specialty, and ultra-high-purity gas applications, including models tailored to the most demanding environments. They are the ideal choice to deliver safe, precise, and reliable gas supply while saving space and reducing handling complexity.

Key Benefits of VIPR Valves

Gas Compatibility - Choose the Right Integrated Valve for Each Gas

Integrated valves must be selected to match the main properties of the gas used, as this directly controls the pressure balance between inlet pressure and outlet pressure to ensure both safety and reliable performance. Our VIPR range offers valves for Oxygen, Acetylene, Helium, Inert gases, Flammable gases, medical gases, and high-purity gases. Each gas has specific requirements in terms of sealing, material, performance, and conditions requiring strict compliance. All Rotarex integrated valves are tested to guarantee consistent performance, leak-tight reliability, and long service life, while ensuring easy integration and operation across industrial, medical, and specialty gas applications. In addition, their compact and innovative design provides easy handling during installation and daily use.

Optional Pressure Relief Valves : Extra Safety for Critical Applications

Optional Pressure Relief Valves : Extra Safety for Critical Applications

Rotarex VIPRs are designed to ensure maximum safety, and the use of a pressure relief valve will depend on the application in which the valve will be used.

Our industrial pressure regulators, such as the C805 or C817, are designed with a default safety valve to protect against pressure drops in demanding environments such as welding or cutting. Our medical viprs offer optional protective valves to increase safety during oxygen therapy in medical environments. Stainless steel VIPRs such as the Flowcal or Ducal can be used with corrosive gases, for which a safety valve can be added as an option.

Why use a pressure relief valve?

  • Overpressure protection: Automatically evacuates excess pressure if the cylinder pressure rises above the safe threshold.
  • User and equipment safety: Prevents damage to cylinders, regulators, and downstream systems.
  • Regulatory compliance: Meets safety requirements in industries where gas supply is critical.
  • Performance optimization: Achieve higher reliability and consistent performance by ensuring pressure remains stable even in the most demanding applications.

FAQs About Gas Valve with integrated Pressure Regulator
What is a valve with an integrated pressure regulator (VIPR)?

A VIPR is a valve with an integrated standard regulator, which reduces the cylinder gas pressure for oxygen, acetylene, and shielding gas, supporting both industrial and specialty applications. Each VIPR typically incorporates an inlet valve, a filling port, a gauge, an integrated pressure regulator, and a shut-off valve, reducing the need for separate components and simplifying installation.

What are the benefits of VIPRs compared to separate regulators?

A VIPR combines a shut-off valve, a gauge, a filling port, and a pressure regulator in a single device, which facilitates installation and use. By reducing the number of connections, the risk of leakage is minimized and safety is improved.

What’s the difference between a VIPR and a standard valve?

A standard valve requires an external regulator.

A VIPR integrates the regulator, making the cylinder safer, lighter, and easier to handle.
